Target Audience Research

For this part of the research task I wanted to try and appeal to mass audience, but after researching into the artist i am using it shows that my video will more likely attract a smaller audience and age range.

The Genre that Yael Naim is labelled as is Indie Folk/New wave style. This compared to pop music or rock music is seen as targeting to a smaller audience that enjoys an individual style of music.

Although Indie Folk music targets a smaller audience, I believe that the stereotypical audience for Yael Naim is between 15-30 years old, for both a male and female audience.

For my target audience I want it to be similar, as the song that my music video is on is actually a cover or a hit pop song by Britney Spears but with Yael Naim's Indie twist. I am aiming for the ages between 14-25, for teenagers and young adults, both male and female. I think this audience is acceptable for the video that I plan to do because its going to be a love stricken story that could relate to this audience age.
